And to be honest, it wasn't long ago that I felt the same way. I would daily scroll right past their numerous ebay listings, often priced below the 1991 face value. It wasn't until I acquired a large lot of Rocketeer books in an attempt to get artwork for this site that I reluctantly came into possession of one. Little did I know that joy I would find inside.
It starts out the way you'd expect, with several hastily drawn scenes of questionable accuracy and characters looking like they just stepped off the Polar Express.
But the I saw something in the childrens coloring book that made me giggle like a small child singing about how "Batman smells"?

That's right. Within the pages of this unassuming book your 5 year old could grab their trusty red and black Crayola's and go to town.
I guess it's just another example of how the world has changed in 20 years. Regardless of what Disney decides to do with the Rocketeer franchise it's safe to say this particular book won't be re-printed any time soon.
